Our President’s Message
The New Jersey Chapter of the National Black MBA Association continues to honor its thirty year history and its mission looking forward to an even brighter, exciting future. We continue to strive to develop key partnerships that result in the creation of intellectual and economic wealth in the Black community through programming focused on our five channels of engagement: education, career, leadership, entrepreneurship and lifestyle.
We are grateful to our corporate partners who remain an integral part of our success. A huge part of our value proposition rests with providing access. It represents access translated into professional talent for our partners, educational wealth-building opportunities for Black professionals and careers which will allow our members to grow and succeed. Despite any challenges presented in the business climate, we will remain focused on enriching and increasing access for over 300 members and our partners.
Our New Jersey Chapter Leaders of Tomorrow ® (LOT) Program continues to grow. Recently acknowledged by the nationally as the Chapter LOT Program of the Year, student participants receive insights and support from our members who volunteer to facilitate mentorship, leadership, college preparation, career and professional development, financial literacy, community service and scholarship opportunities – all, in an effort to fulfill a critical need in our community in the shaping of responsible, productive young minds. In more recent years, we have sought to expand opportunities to work with the community at-large in a more collaborative fashion to develop and build a wider range of skill sets. The program’s heightened community partnership efforts with local nonprofit organizations, corporations and small business entrepreneurs have also facilitated learning opportunities, cultural uplifting and business acumen.
Our existence today is the result of reaping the benefits from nurtured seeds planted by those before us. The need and opportunity for the New Jersey Chapter of the National Black MBA Association to have a positive impact could not be greater than it is today. So, we thrive on the involvement of members, volunteers and their service to ensure that our organization continues to provide enrichment through empowerment, servant leadership and community building.
Consider becoming a member as your way to access the many opportunities within your reach!!!
